आसिम मुनीर और मरियम की सीक्रेट डेट पर बवाल
Asim Munir Maryam Nawaz Secret Date: पाकिस्तान में अवाम महंगाई की मार से बेहाल है. कहीं दो वक्त की रोटी का संकट है, तो कहीं बारूद के ढेर पर बैठा खैबर है. बलूचिस्तान में बगावत के सुर तेज हैं, लेकिन मुल्क के हुक्मरानों की अय्याशियां खत्म होने का नाम नहीं ले रही है. इसी बीच दोनों के बारे में एक ऐसा जानकारी सामने आई है जिसने पाकिस्तान में हलचल मचा दी है. इंटरनेट पर उड़ रही अफवाहों के मुताबिक, पंजाब की मुख्यमंत्री मरियम नवाज (Maryam Nawaz) और पाकिस्तान के सबसे ताकतवर शख्स यानी वहां के सेना प्रमुख जनरल आसिम मुनीर (General Asim Munir) ने एक प्राइवेट प्लेन में एक साथ करीब 3 से साढ़े तीन घंटे का निजी वक्त गुजारा है.
इस कथित हाई-प्रोफाइल मुलाकात को सोशल मीडिया पर ‘सीक्रेट डेट’ (Secret Date) का नाम देकर खूब प्रचारित किया जा रहा है. आइए इस वायरल रिपोर्ट की गहराई से पड़ताल करते हैं और जानते हैं कि इस सनसनीखेज दावे के पीछे का असली सच क्या है.
5 स्टार होटल से मंगाये गए स्टेक
वायरल वीडियो में बताया जा रहा है कि सुबह करीब 9 बजे लाहौर एयरपोर्ट से एक प्राइवेट विमान ने उड़ान भरी. इस विमान की खास बात यह थी कि इसमें पाकिस्तानी पायलटों की जगह दो विदेशी पायलटों की ड्यूटी लगाई गई थी. विमान में न कोई एयरहोस्टेस थी और न ही कोई दूसरा क्रू मेंबर. इसमें सिर्फ दो लोग सवार हुए. एक महिला, जिसे मरियम नवाज बताया जा रहा है, और दूसरा पाकिस्तान का सबसे ताकतवर शख्स, जिसे फील्ड मार्शल आसिम मुनीर कहा जा रहा है.
I’ve been watching a fake news story spread across my timeline, claiming General Asim Munir and Maryam Nawaz took a three and a half hour flight over Nanga Parbat. I think we need to talk about it properly.
It’s fake. Completely fabricated. There was no such trip.
Look at how it spread, because the mechanism matters. It appears to have started with Dr Shahbaz Gill, who has 4.7 million followers on X, putting out a verbal story about the flight. An AI generated video then appeared, which looks like it was made by PTI supporters to illustrate that story. Then Waqar Khan, President of PTI in the USA, shared it with his 173,000 followers and said India TV had run the report.
India TV did not run this report. Anyone can check that in two minutes. So a story was told, a fake video was made to back it up, and a real broadcaster’s name was attached to make it look legit.
These are not small accounts. This is how a fabrication gets built and laundered into something that looks like news.
I’m not here to argue politics. You can dislike either of them, that’s your right. Criticise policy, question decisions, hold power to account. But making up a story and passing it off as real is a different thing altogether.
And this is not free speech. In the US, free speech protects opinion, criticism and satire. It does not protect false statements of fact about real people. That is an allegation, and publishing a false allegation is what defamation law is for.
A defamation claim needs a false statement of fact, publication to others, fault, and harm to reputation. Because Field Marshal Munir and Maryam Nawaz are public figures, they would also have to show actual malice. Under New York Times v. Sullivan, that means the publisher knew it was false or recklessly ignored the truth. Harte-Hanks v. Connaughton says that can be shown through circumstantial evidence, like ignoring obvious red flags or not bothering to verify.
Now look at the facts. An invented story. A fake video made to back it up. A false claim that India TV aired it. All of it published to millions of people.
So ask yourself the obvious questions. Did they check the source? Did they check whether India TV actually aired it? And if people told them it was fake, why was it left up?
Anyone posting this from the US can be taken to a US court for defamation if the evidence shows they knew it was false or didn’t care. With audiences this size, that’s publication at scale, not a private chat.
Anyone in Pakistan who creates or spreads it can be reported to the NCCIA at https://t.co/CwHNbVnkDK, which can assess it under Section 26A of PECA. That covers spreading information known or believed to be false that is likely to cause panic or unrest.
The affected parties should keep everything. The original video, links, screenshots with timestamps, every repost, proof India TV never aired it, and any record of people being told it was fake and what they did next.
Having a big following doesn’t mean you get to skip the truth. The bigger the audience, the bigger the responsibility.
Free speech doesn’t come free. It comes with a responsibility to be honest, and when you knowingly publish falsehoods about real people, there are consequences. People should know that.

इस कथित उड़ान के लिए सुरक्षा के भी पुख्ता इंतजाम किए जाने की बात कही जा रही है. इस निजी हाईप्रोफाइल डेट को लेकर लाहौर के एयरफोर्स बेस पर पहरा इतना सख्त था कि किसी बाहरी शख्स को वहां फटकने तक की इजाजत नहीं थी.
प्लेन के अंदर क्या-क्या इंतजाम हुए?
वायरल वीडियो में ये भी दावा किया गया कि आसिम मुनीर के इस कथित डेट को लेकर प्लेन के अंदर खास इंतेजामात किये गए थे. एक पांच सितारा होटल से तीन स्टेक मंगवाए गए. विमान में ताजे फूल सजाए गए और बैठने वाली सीटों पर काले रंग की सिल्क की चादरें बिछाई गईं.
इसके बाद दोनों विमान में सवार हो जाते हैं और प्लेन उड़ जाता है. बताया जा रहा है कि यह प्लेन करीब साढ़े तीन घंटे तक आसमान में उड़ता रहा. इस दौरान विमान राकापोशी, केटू, नंगा पर्वत, संगरीला लेक और सतबारा लेक जैसे खूबसूरत इलाकों के ऊपर से गुजरा. पहाड़ों और झीलों के दिलकश नजारों के बीच साढ़े तीन घंटे की उड़ान के बाद विमान वापस एयरपोर्ट पर उतर गया.
Fact Check: क्या है इस वायरल दावे की असली सच्चाई?
जब इस पूरे घटनाक्रम और वायरल वीडियो की निष्पक्ष जांच की गई, तो सच कुछ और ही निकल कर सामने आया. यह पूरी खबर पूरी तरह से फर्जी, मनगढ़ंत और फेक न्यूज (Fake News) साबित हुई है.
वरिष्ठ मीडिया विश्लेषकों और फैक्ट-चेकर्स के अनुसार, जनरल आसिम मुनीर और मरियम नवाज के बीच ऐसी किसी भी फ्लाइट या सीक्रेट मीटिंग की बात बिल्कुल बेबुनियाद है.
यह अफवाह कहां से शुरू हुई?
पाकिस्तानी मूल के पत्रकार हसन हाशमी पिरजादा ने इस खबर का खंडन किया है. उन्होंने बताया कि इस प्रोपेगैंडा की शुरुआत पाकिस्तान तहरीक-ए-इंसाफ (PTI) के नेता डॉ. शाहबाज गिल के एक सोशल मीडिया बयान से हुई थी, जिन्होंने एक्स (X) पर सबसे पहले इस कहानी का जिक्र किया.
इसके बाद पीटीआई समर्थकों द्वारा इस कहानी को सच दिखाने के लिए आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) टूल्स की मदद से फर्जी विजुअल्स और वीडियो तैयार किए गए. बाद में एक इंफ्लुएंसर वाकार खान ने इसे शेयर करते हुए गलत तरीके से एक भारतीय चैनल का नाम जोड़ दिया.
फैक्ट चेक से साफ है कि जनरल आसिम मुनीर और मरियम नवाज की 3 घंटे की ‘प्लेन डेट’ वाली खबर में रत्ती भर भी सच्चाई नहीं है. पाठकों को सलाह दी जाती है कि सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने वाले ऐसे किसी भी एआई जनित या बिना प्रमाण वाले दावों पर भरोसा न करें.
